Dear friends,
This is my attempt to bring together all of us. Those we grew up with. From the same class or not. People who are dear to us, who influenced us in a positive or any other way, because they are from the very interesting times of our lives - when we were young, ambitious (I am sure many of us still are!), careless and happy.
Because we were lucky to grow up in the sixties and seventies - the best time of the 20-th century.
Because we lived in Yerevan - the most wonderful city of our great and powerful country USSR.
Because we went to the best school No 132 and had the best teachers around.
Because they made us compete who is the best in math, physics, literature or history.
Because Ararat Yerevan had Arkady Andreasian and Levon Ishtoyan and was the best football team in the country (and I still believe the best in Europe. Just was not lucky to prove it.)
Because it was still in question whether The Beatles will get together.
Because we could be careless and unconditionally happy.
I was thinking about creating this blog for quite some time but it is a sad event that triggered this.
As many of you already know our teacher Grant Balasanovich passed away few days ago.
In the email that some of us received recently we could know that he spoke with his son Karen on the phone from Kislovodsk few days ago. - G.B. "was fine and in very good mood"...
I honestly do not know how we can commemorate his memory and pay our gratitude to him.
Let's remember him one more time. Post few words of memories, photos if you have. Or remeber him silently. I think the best recognition of his work was our success. He was sincerely proud of his former students for the success they are achieving professionally and was motivating with that the younger students.
A man of multiple dimensions, he tried to pass on to us his vision, his outlook and most importantly he taught us to think, to work hard, to give us confidence - all those things that will carry us throughout our lives.
I will certainly post this message in Russian. Please speak out with any ideas you may have.
I hope many of us will find friends they did not hear from for years.
Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!
